Transit & Mobility
Mapping the integration of high-speed rail, tramways, and bus networks.
The TGV Effect
The Al Boraq high-speed rail line has effectively shrunk the geography of Morocco. The commute from Rabat Agdal to Casablanca Voyageurs now takes 55 minutes, while Tangier is reachable in 1 hour 20 minutes. This has created a class of "super-commuters" who live in Rabat but work in Casa's financial district.
Agdal Station Overhaul
Rabat Agdal station has been transformed into a massive multi-modal hub (77,000 sqm). However, integration with local transit remains flawed. Passengers arriving via TGV must exit the station and cross a major, high-traffic avenue to reach the nearest tramway stop, highlighting a failure in last-mile planning.
